"Kola madeema"
"Kamath kavi"are singing when processing the paddy into rice. This process was done according to it's relevant tradition & believes.bulls are  used to do this task & they sung these songs to bless the bulls & to the farmers.
"Kamatha" where is the place farmers used to separate the rice pods from paddy plants is a secret place.Their songs are secret chanting to reduce the tiredness of the bulls. Our paddy farmers are very kind enough to respect their bulls,so they never summon the bulls with rude words.

Transport from "Bullock cart"
Before invention of mechanical vehicles, the most famous & affordable transportation media was the bullock carts. These carts were used to transport passengers ,but mostly they are used to transport & distribute goods.
Several carts were linked together by a leader, who  directed all the other bullock carts to their destination. There wasn't very good roads as today,so they had to pass most dangerous & hard paths.
This task wasn't easy ,so it brought fatigue to the bulls & even drivers.

A "bambara honey comb"
Honey gathering is a daring act as ,the "Bambara combs "build on the precipitous sides of rocks. The security of the honey collector is lying not in their seclusion but in their inaccessibility. These hives are the prize of the bold and skillful only. When the rock is high the ladder called "Yothala"by vaddas, hangs free and the honey gatherer may even have to swing to the honey comb. The bambara combs are often found attached to the lower surface of horizontal branches of the giant Na tree. In such instance ,the honey gathere has to climb up the tree by tying up branches of trees as supports on to the trunk of the tree. The bambaras are dispersed by heavy smoking.Whilst the collector descends the tree after smoking,he is in a precarious situation.
The honey gatherer ballads has a distinctive flavor of lower Uva,capturing vividly the emotion of its rural folk. Most of the songs were collected from "Wellassa" "Binthanna" area
The villagers in lower Uva go to collect honey in the jungles during the months of June and July. They sing folk songs on their way either to appease the spirit or for personal entertainment. They do this to get a certain degree of exitement ,necessary to carry them through the task.
